Connect with Alberta's wild side at Bow Habitat Station! Investigate Alberta's fish, water and wildlife in the Discovery Centre, Trout Pond and Interpretive Wetland.

Group Rates - Discovery Centre Admission

Payment for group Discovery Centre admission rates must be received a minimum of three business days in advance of their scheduled visit to be eligible for the discount rate.

Youth Groups (ages 4-17)

First 10 participants: $45
Each additional group of up to 5 participants: $20


Mixed Age Groups (including youth and adults)

First 10 participants: $65
Each additional group of up to 5 participants: $30

Outdoor Programs

Marsh Dipping - Wetland Wonders – seasonally May-September (ages 5+, 45 min.) $75

Have buckets of fun using a net to dip into the waters of the Ducks Unlimited Canada Marsh to unearth aquatic invertebrates. Investigate the characteristics of these spineless species and explore the valuable role they play in wetland ecosystems. Rubber boots recommended!

Nature Sense (ages 4 – 8, 45 min.) $75

Explore how Alberta’s wildlife use their senses to navigate their environments. Experience a local habitat using your own senses on a guided walk through the Interpretive Wetlands.

Trail Trekking (ages 5+, 45 min.) $75

Discover what it's like to be a naturalist on a guided trek through the Interpretive Wetlands. Learn which plants and animals that live in this urban ecosystem and how these creatures are connected.

Private Learn to Snowshoe Clinic (ages 4+, 1 hour) $245

Discover how Alberta's wildlife survive winter as you trek the snowy trails of Pearce Estate Park while learning proper snowshoeing techniques.

Indoor Programs

Build a Habitat (ages 4 – 12, 45 min.) $65

Discover the needs of a fish in healthy aquatic ecosystem as you use hands-on resources to create a fish habitat together as a group.

Create a Craft (ages 4 – 8, 20 min.) $65

Meet Alberta's rainbow trout as you learn about their characteristics and anatomy. Afterwards create your own fish hat craft to take home.

Deck out a Trout (ages 8+, 45 min.) $65

Dive into Alberta's water and swim alongside fish as they navigate the murky waters of environmental change. Be ready to get a bit creative as we enter into a fin-tasy land and brainstorm imaginative ways to help fish adapt and overcome environmental changes.

Fish Feeding (ages 2+, 20 min.) $50

Take a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to raise over a million trout in the hatchery – including a hands-on experience feeding thousands of trout all at once!

Marsh Mysteries (ages 7 – 12, 45 min.) $75

Get to know some of Alberta's smallest aquatic animals. Practice your identification skills as you investigate aquatic invertebrates that live in the Interpretive Wetlands using a microscope.

Rayne, an Interactive Story (ages 4 – 7, 30 min.) $60

Help Rayne the rainbow trout find their fishy friends! Explore the characteristics of Alberta's fish through in interactive story in Bow Habitat Station's aquariums.

Who am I? (ages 5 – 12, 45 min.) $75

Put your detective skills to the test as you use clues and facts to investigate Alberta's wildlife.

Book a Group Program

Programs booked over 30 business days in advance are emailed an invoice along with payment instructions. Payment is required a minimum of 30 calendar days in advance of your program date.

Programs booked within 30 business days of their scheduled booking date must make their payment in full within the next 48 hours to secure the booking.

Cancellation policy:

Bow Habitat Station reserves the right to cancel programs/bookings due to unexpected business interruptions and/or severe weather warnings issued by Environment Canada. Where possible, alternate activities may be substituted and/or activities rescheduled to a later date. Should less than 50% of a program be completed, a refund of 50% of the program fee will be provided. Should more than 50% of a program be completed, no refunds will be provided.

A full refund will be provided for programs requesting a refund due to testing positive, experiencing symptoms and/or being a close contact of an individual with COVID-19.

A full refund will be provided for program cancellations received a minimum of 30 calendar days in advance of their first schedule program date. All other cancellation will be subject to a $50 per class/group/program fee.
