Bow Habitat Station & Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery are fully wheelchair accessible. The classrooms, theatre, exhibits and hatchery welcome visitors of all abilities.

Bow Habitat Station partners with the City of Calgary Fair Entry program to reduce financial barriers to accessing environmental education. Low-income passholders receive 50% off the price of single Discovery Centre admission.

Aides or attendants assisting guests with a permanent disability receive complimentary access to the centre. Access 2 passholders are required to pay admission.

Bow Habitat Station partners with the Institute of Canadian Citizenship to provide new Canadians access to attractions, activities and events. Canoo app passholders receive 50% off the price of single Discovery Centre admission (for up to 1 adult and 4 youth).

Bow Habitat Station welcomes certified public access service dogs accompanying guests with disabilities.

An elevator is available for visitor use to access the Discovery Centre spanning two floors.

Bow Habitat Station offers visitor washrooms on every floor of the centre and gender neutral washrooms located on the lower level of the Discovery Centre.

• Limited free parking is available in the lot for Pearce Estate Park. Please carpool, or consider other means of transportation where safe and possible.

By bike:

Follow the regional pathway along the river and follow the signs on the pathway towards the Discovery Centre.

By car:

Accessible from downtown via 9 Avenue SE, or from Deerfoot Trail via the exit for Blackfoot Trail heading east towards downtown. Heading north on 19 Avenue SE, continue north at the roundabout into Pearce Estate Park.

By transit:

Via bus #1 or #411. From the bus stop, walk 5-10 minutes north on 17A Street, crossing Blackfoot Trail where the road name changes to 19 Street.

Apple Map Users: Apple Maps currently provides incorrect directions to Bow Habitat Station. Please enter “Pearce Estate Park” as your destination to find our parking lot.

The gift shop is located near the front entrance; admission is not required to visit the gift shop.

• Bow Habitat Station offers light snacks and refreshments for purchase.
• Visitors are welcome to stay and have lunch or a snack in our café seating area.
• Outdoor seating and picnic tables are available for public use outside of Bow Habitat Station.
