Don’t sleep on this opportunity to bust myths surrounding those who hibernate and those who do not, interact with biofacts from bears, bats and more, and learn cool facts through trivia and games at Happy Hibernators!

  • As the temperatures drop and the light fades to the long, dark nights of winter, keep your wits sharp with Bow Habitat Station’s Great Canadian Winter Quiz Show! Challenge yourself to answer questions about surviving winter in the Great White North and win fabulous prizes! Brush up on your winter adaptations knowledge and come prepared to pit your wits against winter wiles!
  • Dive into the winter waters of Alberta’s lakes, ponds and streams as you discover survival strategies of fishes like the northern pike and walleye.
  • Get up close and personal with biofacts of animals that hibernate in the winter and discover their unique adaptations.
  • Follow in the footsteps of common Albertan winter residents and guess who’s who.
  • Bats, squirrels, ground squirrels, marmots, and bears. Run your hands along biofacts of these animals. Can you identify the hibernators?
  • Who goes where? Match up animals with places to hibernate.
