Take the plunge and cast your line into AHEIA’s fishing simulator—you might just reel in one of Alberta’s mighty sportfish! Then test your angling skills with a quiz that dives deep into Alberta’s sporty swimmers—it will surely be an adventure!
Native Trout Collaborative
Spin the wheel and put your fish knowledge to the test about Alberta’s fish and habitat. Uncover the native trout of Alberta through a puzzle game, can you put the pieces together? The giveaways and prize draws will be sure to reel you in!
Parks Canada
Take part in aquatic conservation science with Parks Canada and become part of a larger effort to protect our waters! Engage with first-hand experience by incubating fish models and be rewarded with trout swag.
Fish Protector
How can you protect the quality and quantity of our bodies of water for our fishy friends? Take the plunge and become a Fish Protector! Join us for an interactive watershed table demonstration and find out how our everyday activities on land can influence the health of our water.
Design and create your very own Fish Protector badge – then wear your custom-created symbolic piece with pride!
Biofacts & Specimens
Getting in touch with Alberta’s natural environment can be a truly emotive experience. Run your hands along plush fur, solid skulls and velvety pelts to awaken your senses. Then, peer into a microscope to examine the specimens of parasites.

Your convenience as a member is our top priority. We've allocated tickets exclusively for you. Simply arrive on the event day, and we'll take care of everything else. Your time is valuable, and we want your Fishtival experience to be truly unforgettable.
While you enjoy the convenience of no pre-booking, we recommend that your non-member guests secure their tickets beforehand. This ensures everyone can fully enjoy their time exploring Bow Habitat Station together.

Pre-purchased tickets are strongly encouraged as the event has sold out every year.
Admission includes entry to the event and one entry per person to feed the fish in the hatchery.
You can expect to spend approximately 1 hour in the Discovery Centre and 30 min. outdoors.
Limited free parking is available in the lot for Pearce Estate Park. Please carpool, or consider other means of transportation where safe and possible.
- Tickets are sold in half-hour increments starting at 9:30 am and ending at 4:00 pm.
- Entry is only guaranteed within 30-minutes of the time identified on their ticket.
- Example: if a ticket identifies 11:00 am, must arrive between 11:00 am and 11:30 am.
- Entry is not guaranteed if the visitor arrives outside their 30-minute timeframe.
- Refunds will not be provided to late arrivals or no-shows on the day of the event.
Promotion coupons and vouchers are not valid for this event. With extra activities in place, discounts are not applicable to any admission rates for this event (i.e. Canoo, Fee Assistance/Rec Card not applicable).
Due to space constraints, we ask that you do not bring your stroller or wagon. If you do bring a stroller/wagon, it must remain outdoors. Bow Habitat Station and the Government of Alberta is not responsible for any lost, missing, or damaged personal items.
Admission to Bow Habitat Station on February 14, 2026 is under special event pricing which includes your one-time admission to the Fish Hatchery. No single admission to just Fish Hatchery on special event days.
Bow Habitat Station & Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery are fully wheelchair accessible. The classrooms, theatre, exhibits and hatchery welcome visitors of all abilities. An elevator is available for visitor use to access the Discovery Centre spanning two floors.
