Hatchery Tour Policies
Make the most of your visit by planning ahead:
- Limited capacity – pre-purchasing your tickets online is strongly recommended.
- To help keep our fish safe, hand sanitization and walking across a disinfectant mat are required before entry.
- Late admittance is not permitted - plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
- No exchanges or refunds permitted.

Yes, tickets are available for purchase on-site, or are available for purchase in advance online.
Youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult/senior.
Your ticket includes a 30-minute guided tour through the lifecycle of a trout at the Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery – plus a chance to feed thousands of hungry trout at the end!
The tour is best suited for guests ages 7 and up.
To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone, participants should be able to:
- stay engaged for the full 30-minute guided tour
- follow instructions from staff
- be respectful of the group environment
Please note:
We recommend alternative activities for younger children who may find it difficult to stay focused or quiet for the full duration.
Free parking is available in the Pearce Estate Park lot, located just outside Bow Habitat Station.

- The lot can fill up quickly—especially in the summer months.
- We recommend arriving early or considering carpooling or alternative transportation when possible.
- Tours begin promptly at their scheduled start time. Late admittance is not permitted.
