Have you ever wondered why so many wild creatures seem to love marshes? The secret lies in all of the delicious nutritious bugs lurking in the murk!
Come dip into this nutrient-rich water and discover all the interesting and tasty creepy crawlies that call wetland waters home. We provide the science gear; you bring the scientific enthusiasm!

What to Bring
This outdoor program is ready to run rain or shine. Be prepared for the best possible experience by planning ahead:
- Wear footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather and changing
- Bring sunscreen and bug spray
- Bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated

All ages are welcome. Recommended for ages 4 and up. Youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
Tickets available for purchase on-site (day-of only) due to unexpected weather conditions.
Program policies
Youth under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paid adult participant.
A minimum of one adult for every six youth is required for the safety of all participants.
Bow Habitat Station reserves the right to cancel or change program activities due to unexpected business interruptions
and/or severe weather warnings issued by Environment Canada (including thunderstorms, tornados, severe winds, extreme heat or smoke).
In the case of cancellation due to weather – Should less than 50% of a program be completed, a refund of 50% of the program fee will be provided.
Should more than 50% of a program be completed, no refunds will be provided.
